Do-it-yourself efforts by Western
companies to start up their own operations in China often result in cost
overruns and delayed production schedules. Foreign companies coming to China
can dramatically reduce the cost and time involved in starting up their
factories by using local experts that:
-
already know the city officials
involved in and the vagaries of local registration processes;
-
have supplier networks for
machinery and materiel already in place;
-
can manage construction and
installations;
-
have been through numerous
start-ups themselves.
Silk Road Communications (SRC) and Eurasia International Consulting (SIP) Co. Ltd have formed a cooperative
Joint Venture based in Suzhou to support foreign companies in the booming
provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang.
SRC●Eurasia
is dedicated to providing a full-spectrum of localized business development
services to Western companies opening operations in the Yangtze River Delta. Our new office is located in the Suzhou China-Singapore

suitable site.

project management team at the disposal of the client can also have the benefit
considerable cost advantages as it removes the need for the client to have a
project manager of their own on site during this phase of the development.
Operational Advice
Many companies new to China are
faced with a large amount of new business practises and a significant
difference in the way that business operates. Those companies failing to take these
issues into account will find the initial phases of their business start-up
difficult. Knowing what questions
to ask is as important as gaining the answers. Costly mistakes can be avoided at this
stage of the business development with good quality, sound advice. Eurasia staff are able to provide detailed input
at this stage of the operation and if required senior management staff to
support the newly appointed staff of the company and therefore avoid the many
of the pitfalls. Eurasia can also provide direct
staff for the company if required during the start up phase of the business.
Localisation
Much of the advantages of
operating within
China
are connected to the sourcing of raw materials and services at local prices.
Many companies new to the area rely in the first instance on the lower
labour rates within the country. This may
still be advantageous if goods manufactured are to be exported but would not
prove to be
competitive if goods are to be sold in
China.
Using its network
Eurasia can
identify possible raw material and service providers to meet the client’s
requirements. We can also advise on
supply contracts and taxes

Recruitment
Eurasia can provide a range of services relating to the recruitment of both
Chinese and Ex-patriot staff. It
can also assist with the initial short listing process if required. It is important that senior Chinese staff
appointed to new ventures have an understanding of western business practice
and Eurasia’s experience in this field will ensure that suitable candidates are
provided for interview.
RESIDENCE
APPLICATION
According
to Chinese law and regulation foreigners who will live or work in China need to make relevant registration.
Eurasia stuff could help you complete
such kinds of application including visa, temporary living permit, residence
permit, and employment permit.
PREFERENTIAL
TREATMENT
In order
to attract more foreign investment, Chinese government provide foreign
investors with many preferential policies in different fields and levels. Many Investors become confused with this
and miss out on opportunities to use such preferential treatments to assist in
the development of the business. Eurasia would collect such information using
our well established networks and links with the authorities and present the
client with clear and sensible advice.
Housing
The Eurasia network is ideally placed to identify and select suitable
ex-patriot accommodation for staff at all levels. Using this service could save as much as
50% on property rental. We will
also advise on rental contracts and service agreements

by Eurasia will provide a cost effective route to business and cultural advice
which will be invaluable for those new to China. Creating and running a business in China is
not difficult but it is full of costly pitfalls for the novice. There are many differences between
