The customer of an American company required its supplier to be in the same city as it in China. However, the local business environment required the American company to form a joint venture with two other Chinese companies to serve the customer, which itself was a Chinese-American joint venture. Silk Road Communications accelerated negotiations and aided in closing the deal by helping the American company and the primary Chinese supplier work around the third, "spoiler" Chinese company.
